Our Commitment

Outland Fabworks ("we", "us", "our") is a Canadian business operating at outlandfabworks.com. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used and protected.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

What We Collect

When you place an order:

• Name and email address
• Shipping address
• Order details (products purchased, quantities, amounts)

When you create an account:

• Email address and password (password is stored encrypted via Firebase Authentication — we never see it)
• Saved shipping address (if you choose to save it)

When you submit a build photo:

• Name, email, order number, vehicle description, Instagram handle (all optional except email)
• The photo you upload

When you join a waitlist:

• Email address

We do not collect or store:

• Credit card numbers or payment details — all payments are processed by Stripe and never touch our servers
• Government ID or Social Insurance Numbers
• Any information we don't need to fulfill your order

Why We Collect It

We use your information only to:

• Process and fulfill your order
• Send you order confirmation and shipping notifications
• Respond to questions or support requests
• Notify you when a waitlisted product is back in stock (only if you opted in)
• Feature your build in the gallery (only if you submitted and we approved it)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Full stop.

Who Else Sees Your Data

To operate our store, we use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Stripe — payment processing. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe. We receive only a confirmation that payment was made. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Firebase (Google) — database, file storage, authentication, and hosting. Your order data and account information is stored in Firebase Firestore. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Canada Post — shipping. Your shipping address is provided to Canada Post to fulfill your order.
• Google Fonts — fonts loaded from Google's CDN when you visit the site.

We do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or analytics platforms that share data with third parties.

How Long We Keep It

Order information is retained for a minimum of 7 years as required by Canadian tax and business record-keeping laws.

Account information is retained until you request deletion. Waitlist entries are deleted automatically once we notify you that a product is back in stock.

Build submissions that are not approved are deleted from our system. Approved builds remain in the gallery until you contact us to request removal.

Your Rights Under PIPEDA

As a Canadian business, we comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you
• Request a copy of your personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Withdraw consent at any time (which may affect our ability to provide services)

How We Protect Your Data

Your data is stored in Google Firebase, which uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Access to your information is restricted to authorized personnel only. Payment data is never stored on our systems.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
